Scripture Memory Verse Challenge - Week # 27
But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.
2 Cor 12:9
Mother = hardest job ever (and let's not talk about getting paid for it)
So thankful that there is one day devoted to us mothers because it really is the most demanding, challenging, heart-wrenching, gut-wrenching, humbling, exhausting and the list goes on, as well as exhilarating, joyous, fulfilling, rewarding (even without pay) and best job ever.
We give our hearts, soul, ear, self and so much more to our children each day and in each moment. Then we see pain and heartache and injustice and failure and worse. So often I feel like I didn't do enough, give enough, demand enough, discipline enough, or love enough. And then it brings me straight back to God and his grace.
I will fail over and over as a mother and my children will fail as well. But therefore by the grace of God we go.
Thank goodness that Jesus came to save us and gives us grace over grace over grace. His grace is sufficient for me because in my weakness His power is made perfect. Thank you Lord that you do the same for every one on this earth.
Happy Mother's Day to all of you mothers and...
May God bless everyone this week as you find God's strength in your weakness because we are all weak even though sometimes it's hard to admit.
